Individual Role Tags
Assign and manage Individual Role Tags within initiatives to clarify responsibilities and enhance accountability. Use default or custom tags, search and filter by roles, and export data for better visibility and streamlined task management.

Role tags are labels assigned to individuals in an initiative to define their roles and responsibilities. You can create custom role tags based on your organization’s specific needs.
How to Set Up Individual Role Tags
Assign Role Tags to Individuals
- Navigate to Single Initiative > Audience > Individuals Tab.
- Select an individual.
- Under Overview, click on the Role Tag dropdown to select one or multiple tags.
- To add a Custom Role Tag, click Edit, which opens a modal where you can create and assign new tags.
View Role Tags in the Individuals Tab
- Go to Single Initiative > Audience > Individuals Tab.
- Click on the eye icon in the upper right corner.
- Enable the “Project Role” column to display assigned role tags.
Search and Filter by Role Tags
- Search:
- In the Individuals Tab, use the search bar to locate individuals by their assigned role tags.
- Filter:
- Click the funnel icon and filter by role tag for better visibility of responsibilities.
Export Role Tags
- In the Individuals Tab, you can export a list of individuals along with their assigned role tags by using the Export function.
Using Role Tags at the All Initiatives Level
The same functionality is available at the All Initiatives level:
- Navigate to All Initiatives > Audiences > Individuals Tab.
- Enable the “Role Tags” column by clicking the eye icon in the upper right corner.
- Use the search bar or filter option to locate or sort individuals by their role tags.
Default Role Tags and Auto-Assignment
For your convenience, ChangePlan includes several default role tags. These include:
- Change Manager
- Benefit Owner
- Activity Deliverer
- Risk Owner
- Impact Owner
These tags are automatically assigned based on the individual's responsibilities within an initiative.
