How can we help?

Pulse Checks & Adoption Tracking in ChangePlan

ChangePlan’s Pulse Check and Adoption features allow you to measure stakeholder readiness and track change adoption across initiatives. Whether you're gathering sentiment post-activity or running standalone checks, these tools help teams monitor how change is being received and acted upon.

1. Types of Pulse Checks

ChangePlan supports two types of pulse checks:
  • Readiness: Sent during change delivery to assess stakeholder understanding and preparedness.
  • Adoption: Sent after go-live to track uptake, proficiency, and perceived value of the change.

2. Scheduling Pulse Checks

A. From the Activities Page

You can create a pulse check directly when adding an activity or as a standalone item.
  • Navigate to Activities under an initiative.
  • Click + NEW for an activity, or + PULSE CHECK for a standalone check.

  • Readiness Pulse: Select a change phase (e.g., Awareness, Know-How). The question will auto-populate.
  • Adoption Pulse: Select an adoption metric (Uptake, Proficiency, Usage Outcome). A matching question will display.
You can assign stakeholders and set the send date in the same window.

Readiness Questions (Default)

Each phase of the stakeholder journey aligns with a specific readiness question:
  1. Awareness: "I am aware of the changes coming and the reason for them."
  1. Eagerness: "I am supportive of the change."
  1. Know-How: "I know what I have to do."
  1. Understanding: "I know how to perform effectively in the future state."
  1. Sustainment: "I am applying the change."
📝 You can link readiness pulse checks to activities or send them independently.

4. Adoption Metrics & Questions (Default)

ChangePlan supports three standard adoption metrics:
  • Uptake: "I regularly utilise the outcomes of the project."
  • Proficiency: "I am proficient with the new way of working."
  • Usage Outcome: "I feel that the outcome of the project has been positive."
Admins can update these metrics and associated questions in Settings > Assessment > Pulse Checks.
🔧 You may also manually enter scores via the manual override option if feedback is gathered outside the platform.

5. Viewing Results

Results appear in multiple dashboards and reports:

  • Adoption tab: See bar charts by metric and audience group.
  • Readiness tab: Visual breakdown across change phases.
