Chapter 10: The Change Canvas

The Change Canvas is a powerful tool designed to help teams collaboratively document and align on their change strategy. It provides a structured yet flexible space to capture goals, risks, interventions, and other critical details for your initiative.

Getting Started with the Change Canvas

  1. Access the Change Canvas
      • Navigate to the “Change on a Page” box in your initiative dashboard to begin.
  1. Collaborate with Key Stakeholders
      • Work with your project sponsor, project manager, and key stakeholders to create the Change Canvas.
      • Use this as a shared document to align on goals, risks, and strategies.
  1. Update and Review
      • Use the Initiative Summary section at the top to review or edit initiative details. (To make changes, return to the main page and click “Edit Initiative”.)
      • Complete each section of the canvas by entering relevant information.
      • Regularly update and refresh the canvas as the initiative evolves.
  1. Best Practice for Collaboration
      • Host a collaborative meeting to fill out the canvas together.
      • Share the draft with your team for alignment before finalizing.
  1. Exporting the Change Canvas
      • Once completed, export the finalized Change Canvas to PDF by clicking “Export PDF” at the top of the page.
