How can we help?

Using the Two Impact Assessment Views

ChangePlan provides two different ways to assess change impacts within an initiative:

  1. By Change View – Focused on listing each change separately while consolidating impacted stakeholders.
  1. By Audience View – Focused on displaying the impacts grouped by individual stakeholders or groups.
Both views offer valuable insights, depending on how you want to analyze and report on change impacts.

Accessing the Impact Assessment Views

To view your change impact assessment:
  1. Navigate to the Initiative:
      • Go to Single Initiative
      • Click on the Impacts section.
  1. Choose between two tabs:
      • By Change Tab → Lists each change separately with all affected stakeholders combined.
      • By Audience Tab → Breaks down each impact per stakeholder or group.

Understanding the "By Change" View

What it Shows:

  • Each change is listed as a separate row.
  • All affected stakeholders for that change are grouped together.

When to Use:

✔ Best for getting a high-level summary of changes and the overall affected audience. ✔ Helps in identifying which changes have the biggest stakeholder reach.

Understanding the "By Audience" View

What it Shows:

  • Each stakeholder or stakeholder group is listed separately.
  • Changes are displayed individually for each affected stakeholder, resulting in more rows.
  • Sorting by stakeholder groups helps in analyzing impacts by department or team.

When to Use:

✔ Best for understanding the full impact on a specific team or individual. ✔ Helps in tailoring communication and training plans based on stakeholder needs.

Alternative Way to View Impacts for a Specific Group

Another way to view impacts for a specific stakeholder group:
  1. Go to the Stakeholders Page.
  1. Select a specific group (e.g., Operations Team).
  1. Click on the Impacts Tab to see all changes affecting that group.
This provides an alternative method to analyze impacts without navigating the full Impacts page.

Key Takeaways

Use "By Change" View to assess the overall impact of each change. ✔ Use "By Audience" View to analyze how each group or individual is affected. ✔ For deeper insights on a specific group, go to the Stakeholders page > Impacts tab.
By using these views strategically, you can ensure that your change impact assessments are accurate, stakeholder-focused, and actionable.
