- Access Org Chart Settings:
- Go to Welcome Button > Settings > Org Chart.
- Use the Org Chart Tiers Box to add your hierarchy levels (e.g., Org Level 1, Org Level 2, Org Level 3).
- Prepare the Org Chart File:
- Clean the file:
- Remove duplicate names within levels.
- Address any blank rows or fields to ensure proper hierarchy.
- Using an HRIS File:
- Start with your HRIS system file, focusing on the org chart structure rather than individuals.
- Ensure the levels align consistently with your intended hierarchy.
- Preview and Import the Org Chart:
- Upload the org chart file into ChangePlan.
- Use the preview feature to validate the structure and make corrections before completing the import.
Tips for a Successful Import
- Avoid Duplicate Level Names: Each level must have unique identifiers. For instance, avoid having multiple “Audit” entries at the same level without distinctions.
- Fill in Blanks: Ensure all hierarchical levels are fully populated to prevent system errors.
- Location-Specific Org Chart Levels:ChangePlan does not accept identical rows within an org chart. If differentiating locations is crucial:
- Not Allowed:
- Corporate Finance (L1) > Finance (L2) > Audit (L3): Location Sydney
- Corporate Finance (L1) > Finance (L2) > Audit (L3): Location Brisbane
- Solution: Add a fourth level:
- Corporate Finance (L1) > Finance (L2) > Audit (L3) > Audit Sydney (L4): Location Sydney
- Corporate Finance (L1) > Finance (L2) > Audit (L3) > Audit Brisbane (L4): Location Brisbane
After a Successful Import
Once your org chart is successfully imported, proceed to import individual data.
