How to Remove/Delete Individuals
This guide explains how to remove or delete individuals from ChangePlan, whether dealing with terminated employees, removing individuals from your org chart, or updating records. Follow these steps for manual removal or bulk deletion.

- Terminated Employees:
- Remove individuals who are no longer part of your organization.
- Updating Org Chart:
- Delete individuals no longer linked to active teams or groups.
- General Cleanup:
- Remove outdated or duplicate records from the system.
Option 1: Manual Deletion for Individual Users
If you only need to remove a few individuals:
- Navigate to the Audience Page:
- Go to Audience > Individuals.
- Select the Individual(s):
- Use the checkbox next to the name(s) of the individual(s) you want to delete.
- Delete the Selected Individuals:
- Click Delete in the upper-right corner to remove them from the system.
Option 2: Bulk Deletion via Import
For removing multiple individuals or terminated employees:
- Download the Individuals Import Template:
- Go to Audience > Individuals > Import > Download Template.
- Prepare the File:
- Add the names of the individuals to be removed.
- In the Job Title column, label them as “To Be Deleted” (or use another identifier).
- Import the Updated File:
- Upload the file back into the system.
- ChangePlan will detect duplicates (based on email addresses) and allow you to update their records.
- Search for "To Be Deleted":
- Go to Audience > Individuals and search for "To Be Deleted" in the search bar.
- Perform a Bulk Delete:
- Select all results using the checkboxes.
- Adjust the number of rows displayed at the bottom of the screen (if needed) to speed up the process.
- Click Delete in the upper-right corner to complete the bulk removal.
