Org chart group metadata
Each org chart group can have the following metadata types added:
- Number of people (number, overrides the calculation of the total individuals attached to the group)
- Location (text)
- Reporting manager (email address)
- Preferred communication approach (text)
- Notes (text)
If an organization wishes to metadata fields, they need to provide two XLS files when updating their employee information: one for the org chart and another for the individual employee records
If the organization does not wish to use any metadata fields, they can provide a single XLS file when updating their employee information containing the individual employee records.
The org chart structure can then be extracted from the individual employee file by copying the org chart data columns and pasting into the org chart import template.
