The All Initiatives page is your single view of change across the organisation — a live table showing everything happening in your change portfolio at a glance. From here you can navigate into individual initiatives, manage your portfolio, and customise exactly what data you see.
Navigating to and from All Initiatives
To open a specific initiative, click its name in the table. To return to All Initiatives, click the ChangePlan logo in the top left, or hover over the left side to open the main menu and select Initiatives — this takes you back to the table. Your most recently viewed initiatives are listed in the left menu for quick access, and you can browse all initiatives alphabetically, by most recent, or by top.
What the Table Shows
The table is always kept up to date. Scroll horizontally to see all available columns, which include:
- Portfolio — the portfolio each initiative belongs to
- Change Size — the level of change support required (see below)
- Type — the initiative type
- Go Live Date/s — upcoming and past go-live milestones; overdue dates are flagged in red
- Status — e.g. Active, Completed, On Hold, Pending, Hidden
- Org Count, Individual Count, Custom Group Count — audience breakdowns
- Adoption & Readiness — aggregated scores reflecting change health
- Change Impacts — number of change impacts assessed
- Open Risks — risks currently flagged against the initiative
- Overdue Activities & Completed Activities — stakeholder activity status
- Sponsors, Change Managers, Editors, Viewers, Full Access — people assigned to the initiative
Change Size
Each initiative displays a Change Size rating indicating the level of change support the project requires, using a t-shirt sizing scale:
Size | Dots |
Small | • |
Medium | • • |
Large | • • • |
Extra Large | • • • • |
Note: Change Size uses dots rather than colours. This is intentional — a colour-based Change RAG Status is coming in a future release to indicate initiative health. A project can be Extra Large in scope while still being on track; keeping size and status visually distinct avoids confusion.
Sorting, Searching, and Filtering
Each column can be sorted by clicking the arrow within the column header.
To search within the table, use the magnifying glass icon on the top right of the table. This is separate from the global search bar at the top of the application, which searches across initiative and portfolio names.
To filter the table, click Filter and add one or more filter conditions — for example, filtering by portfolio name. Filters can be saved and reloaded, and cleared when no longer needed.
Customising Columns
Click the Columns button to open the column management panel. From here you can:
- Reorder columns by clicking and dragging the dot handles on the left
- Show or hide columns using the toggle switches on the right
- Reset to the default column layout using the button at the bottom
Hiding a column doesn't remove any data — it simply tidies up your view. Your column preferences are saved for the next time you return to the page.
Creating a New Initiative
Click + Create Initiative to open the new full-screen creation dialogue. From here you can:
- Name the initiative
- Assign a Portfolio (optional)
- Set a Target Go Live Date (required) — note the updated terminology; a future release will support multiple go-live dates within a single initiative
- Assign an Owner
To set additional fields — such as hashtags, initiative type, status, completion date, sponsor, project manager, or access permissions — open the initiative and click Edit Initiative from the left menu. This separation keeps the creation flow fast while still giving you full control.
Editing, Duplicating, and Deleting
Click the three-dot menu on the right side of any row to access options to edit, duplicate, or delete an initiative.
When duplicating, you can choose which elements to carry across and set a new start date — ChangePlan will automatically reschedule all activities and time-based events so you don't need to update everything manually. This is particularly useful when reusing completed initiatives as a starting point.
Bulk Actions
Select multiple rows using the checkboxes on the left. You can select all initiatives visible on the current page, or use the option to select all results across all pages. Bulk actions — including Bulk Deploy — are available from the selection panel, with more bulk actions rolling out later this year.
Exporting
Click Export in the top right to export all initiatives. The export dialogue allows you to choose your file format (currently .xlsx) before downloading.
