Who this is for: All users
Most lists in ChangePlan, such as initiatives, audiences, impacts, activities and users, use the same table. Once you know one, you know them all.
Search a table
- Type in the search box above the table.
- The table shows only matching rows, and the total updates.
- Clear the search box to see every row again.
If nothing matches, you’ll see a message asking you to adjust your search term.
Sort by a column
Click a column heading to sort by it. Click again to reverse the order, and a third time to remove the sort.
Filter rows
- Click Filter above the table.
- Choose a field, such as Status or Effort, and pick the values you want.
- Each filter you set shows as a chip above the table.
- Remove a chip to drop that filter, or use Clear all to start again.
You can combine several filters. Rows must match all of them to appear.
Show, hide and resize columns
- Click Columns above the table.
- Tick the columns you want to see and untick the ones you don’t.
- Drag a column’s edge to make it wider or narrower.
Your view is saved
ChangePlan remembers how you set up each table, including your sort, hidden columns and rows per page. It looks the same the next time you open it.
Move between pages
Use the arrows at the bottom of the table to move between pages. Change rows per page to see more at once. Changing it takes you back to page 1.
Open a record from the table
Click a name to open it. On the initiatives table, many numbers are also links. For example, clicking the change impacts count opens that initiative’s impacts, and clicking an audience count opens its audience list.
Select rows
Tick the box at the start of a row to select it. You can then act on all selected rows at once, for example to delete them. Use Clear selection to untick them all.
Export a table
- Set up the table the way you want, with any search, filters and sort.
- Click Export.
- ChangePlan prepares an Excel file in the background. Download it from the Alerts page when it’s ready.
The export includes every matching row, not just the page you’re looking at. If you’ve selected rows, only those rows are exported.
