How ChangePlan calculates numbers of individuals
Add a short description of what it’s about.
How ChangePlan calculates the number of individuals in groups
- For groups, ChangePlan counts the number of individuals you’ve added (shown in the green rectangle below).
- This is the Audience page:
- You can specify a different number by entering a number in the 'Number of people' field' in the Audience page:
- This is useful if an organization chooses to not add individual employee details into ChangePlan, but still wants to have the number of people in groups represented accurately.
- Please note - you must click ‘Save’ on bottom right of the page before the system will store the new value. (The number of individuals in the top panel may not update until the page is refreshed).
- This is now the value for the number of individuals.
- If this is an org chart ‘child’ group, this number is used to calculate the parent group’s total number of people
Initiative audience count
All Initiatives table: AUDIENCE column
- Total of:
- number of people in selected child groups (not parent groups, unless selected)
- number of individuals added one-by-one
- number of individuals in custom groups
- Check for duplicates since custom groups may have the same individuals as other custom groups, org chart groups, or individuals that have been added one-by-one.
Initiative > Dashboard page: Audience panel
- Individuals: Same as ‘All Initiatives table: AUDIENCE column’ above
- Groups count:
- Total of:
- Number of child groups (not parent groups, unless selected)
- Number of Custom groups
Activity audience count
Initiative > Activities list page: AUDIENCE COUNT column
All Initiatives > All Activities table: AUDIENCE COUNT column (UPCOMING and COMPLETED)
- For each activity, we calculate the total of:
- number of people in targeted child groups (not parent groups, unless selected)
- number of targeted individuals added one-by-one
- number of individuals in targeted custom groups
- Check for duplicates since custom groups may have the same individuals as other custom groups, org chart groups, or individuals that have been added one-by-one.
Activity burden heatmap
All Initiatives Activity burden heatmap
- Org chart groups
- Total of: individuals in the org level group + individuals in all its child groups
- Do not include the number of groups in the calculation
- Check the calculation for ‘Time away from BAU hrs per person’ = (time away from BAU hrs total) / (number of individuals in org level group including all of its child groups)
- In the example above: 1728 hrs / 673 individuals = 2.6hrs / person
- Custom groups (NB: this feature is currently broken see this ticket)
- number of individuals in the Custom group
- Check the calculation for ‘Average time away from BAU’ = (total time away from BAU) / (number of individuals in Custom group)
Initiative modals
Initiative > Activities > Add Activity modal: Audience targeted
Initiative > Activities > Add Activity modal > Add audience targeted modal: Audience targeted
- For each activity, total of:
- Number of individuals in child groups selected, not their parent groups unless selected
- Number of individuals selected one-by-one
- Number of individuals in Custom groups selected
Initiative > Activities > Add Activity modal > Add audience targeted modal: Total audience “of X selected”
Initiative > Dashboard page > Activities Status (Previous Week, This Week and Next Week)
- Calculation is the same as activity audience count
Initiative > Impacts > Add Impact modal > Add impacted audience modal: Total audience “of X selected”
- Total individuals in the initiative: same as ‘All Initiatives table: AUDIENCE column’ and ‘Initiative > Dashboard page: Audience panel’ above
Initiative > Impacts > Add Impact modal: Affected audience
- Total of:
- Number of individuals in child groups where an impact level has been selected (not ‘No impact), not their parent groups unless selected
- Number of individuals assigned an impact level one-by-one
- Number of individuals in Custom groups assigned an impact level
