How our impact heatmaps work
ChangePlan’s impact heatmaps have cells that display as with Red, Amber (orange) or Green.
- Red indicates a high level impact
- Amber indicates a medium level of impact
- Green indicates a low level of impact
The system determines whether the aggregated level of impacts is high, medium or low using a ‘dominance rule’.
If the number of the highest level impacts is at least one-third of the number of total impacts then the color of that impact level is assigned to be displayed.
For example:
1 High and 2 Medium = High
1 Medium and 2 Low = Medium
1 Medium and 3 Low = Low
The system is looking for which group of impact ratings (High, Medium, or Low) stands out the most. If one group clearly has a strong presence, it sets the tone for the overall impact.
