Who this is for: Anyone who needs to see when initiatives and their activities land across the organisation
The timeline shows all your initiatives over time, with their target go-live dates and key activities, so you can spot overlaps and plan around busy periods.
Open the timeline
- Click Timeline in the left menu.
- The timeline opens on the current period. Scroll left or right to move to earlier or later dates.
Change the scale
- Open the Scale dropdown at the top of the timeline.
- Choose the scale you need:
- Week: a close view of recent and upcoming initiatives.
- Month: initiatives with red lines marking their target go-live dates.
- Quarter: a broader view, grouped by quarter. A three-month range works well for leadership presentations.
Show or hide activities
Use the expand/collapse control on an initiative to show or hide its engagement, communications and learning activities.
Export the timeline as an image
- Click Export Image in the top-right corner.
- ChangePlan creates an image file of the timeline that you can share or add to a presentation.
When to use it
- Project planning: see the timing and overlap of initiatives.
- Leadership updates: present a quarter-by-quarter view of initiatives in flight.
- Change management: check when key communications and training activities are scheduled.
