Step 1: Export and Review Your Current Org Chart

1. Export the Existing Org Chart

  • Go to Audiences > Org Chart
  • Click the Export button (upper right corner) to download the file.

2. Compare with the Updated Org Chart

  • Use Excel’s Conditional Formatting to highlight changes.
  • Identify added, renamed, or removed groups to maintain accuracy.

3. Identify Key Changes

  • New Levels/Groups: Ensure these exist before uploading individuals.
  • Renamed Groups: Update names in both the org chart and individuals file.
  • Deleted Groups: Reassign individuals or remove them if needed.

Step 2: Import the Updated Org Chart

1. Access Org Chart Import

  • Go to Settings > Org Chart > Update Org Chart.

2. Upload the Updated File

  • Use the preview feature to check for errors.
  • The system will detect any missing, renamed, or outdated groups.

3. Resolve Any Issues

  • Transfer Groups: If existing groups need reallocation.
  • Delete Outdated Groups: If they are no longer needed.

4. Confirm and Validate

  • Once the import is successful, verify that the updated org chart reflects the correct structure.

Why am I getting errors about duplicate org chart names?
