Types of audience
Audiences are the people affected by your change. ChangePlan has three types:
- Org groups: teams from your org chart (the template supports up to 11 levels)
- Individuals: named people
- Custom groups: your own groupings, such as “All Passholders” or “ABC Tool SMEs”
Your organisation’s audience list
Go to Audiences in the left menu and pick a tab: Org groups, Individuals or Custom groups.
Find people
Use Search, Filter (add filters such as org level or location) and Columns to show the fields you need.
Set up the org chart (admins)
Admins set up org groups in Settings > Org chart, one at a time or by importing the org chart template. For what to put in each column, see Import data with Excel templates.
One audience list for every initiative
Everyone works from the same audience list, shared across all initiatives and portfolios. Audience data stays consistent, and you can see how change lands on each group across initiatives. Keep the list current by importing from your HR system or Active Directory, or set up automated org chart and employee updates.
What you see for an org group
Click an org group on the Org groups tab to see how many initiatives, impacts and activities target it, and a rolled-up total of time away from normal work (time away for its activities multiplied by the number of people in the group).
