Who this is for: Users who can edit an initiative
Add many impacts to an initiative at once by importing them from an Excel template. Each row can name the org groups affected, plus the impact type, owner and dates.
Add the org groups to the initiative
Before you import, the impacted org groups must be on the initiative's audience.
- Open the initiative and choose Audience.
- On the Org groups tab, select the groups to include (for example
Operations > Distribution > Western Region).
- Click Add. The groups appear in the audience list with their full hierarchy.
Fill in the template
- Choose Impacts in the initiative's left menu.
- Click Import and download the Excel template.
- Fill in one row per impact:
Column | What to enter |
Type | The exact name of the impact type (for example Technology, Process) |
Change Description | What's changing (for example "New reporting platform rolled out") |
Impact on Audience | How the change affects the group |
High / Medium / Low Impacted | The full org group path (for example Operations > Distribution > Western Region) |
Owner (optional) | Email address of the responsible person |
Start / End Dates (optional) | When the impact begins and ends, used on the heatmap |
Import the file
- On Impacts, click Import.
- Upload your completed Excel file.
- Check the summary and click Continue.
Your impacts appear in the list with their type, change and audience impact. Only the last group name (for example
Western Region) shows in the list. Open the impact to see the full org group path.If rows are skipped
- The Type must exactly match an impact type set up for your organisation.
- Separate org levels with
>(for exampleSales > National Accounts > Sydney).
- Org groups must already be on the initiative's audience and match exactly. Mismatched types or groups can cause rows to be skipped.
- Add start and end dates if you want the impact to appear in the right periods on the heatmap.
