Who this is for: Anyone who wants reports and lists to show only initiatives that are currently active.
You can filter tables and reports so they include only active initiatives. This keeps finished or paused work out of your heatmaps and lists.
Open the report
The active-initiative filter is available on:
- the Initiatives page and the activities table
- reports on the Reports page, such as Change effort, Change impacts and Activity burden
Set up and generate
On a table
- Click Filter at the top of the table.
- Choose Initiative status and select Active.
- Apply the filter. It stays in place when you come back to the page.
On a report
- Click Reports in the left menu and choose the report.
- Before you generate the report, open Filter and set initiative status to Active.
- Add other filters if you need them, such as go-live year.
- Click Generate report.
Read the report
The table or report now includes only active initiatives. On a heatmap, turn on Show only impacted groups and Show only time periods with impacts to see just the groups and periods affected by active work.
How it is calculated
The filter uses each initiative's status. To change an initiative's status, open the initiative and choose Edit initiative in its left menu.
Options
Combine the status filter with other filters, such as portfolio or go-live year, to narrow the view further.
Export
Exports reflect the filters you've applied. See Find and export reports.
If nothing shows
- Check that your initiatives have their status set to Active in Edit initiative.
- Clear other filters that might hide results.
