Who this is for: Change managers, analysts and executives who track checklist completion across a portfolio.
The checklist progress export gives you a spreadsheet of every initiative in a portfolio and how far through its checklist each one is. Use it to spot stalled initiatives and follow up with owners.
Open the report
- Open the portfolio you want to analyse from the Initiatives page.
- In the portfolio's Initiatives section, find the Export Checklist Progress XLS button.
Checklist progress across initiatives is also available from Reports in the left menu.
Set up and generate
- Click Export Checklist Progress XLS.
- ChangePlan generates the spreadsheet for the selected portfolio.
Read the report
- Each row is an initiative in the portfolio, with its checklist completion.
- Look for initiatives at low completion (for example 0% or 25%) to find bottlenecks, then follow up with the initiative owner.
- Use filters or sorting in your spreadsheet to order initiatives by progress.
How it is calculated
Progress reflects how far each initiative's checklist items have been completed. Agree internal rules for what counts as 25%, 50% or 100% complete so results are consistent across initiatives. See Change Checklist – User Guide.
Options
The export covers one portfolio at a time. Repeat it for each portfolio you want to compare.
Export
Open the downloaded file in Excel or another spreadsheet tool. If the file doesn't download straight away, check Alerts (bell icon).
If nothing shows
- Check that the portfolio contains initiatives.
- Check that those initiatives have checklist items. Initiatives without a checklist show no progress.
