Who this is for: Change managers, analysts, PMO and HR teams who need reports beyond the built-in heatmap.
The Change Impact Heatmap shows where change is landing across your organisation. When you need to go deeper, you can export the full data behind it and build your own reports in Excel, such as tailored leadership views or reports that combine impacts with capability scores or portfolios.
Open the report

- Click Reports in the left menu and choose Change impacts.
- Generate the heatmap for the period and filters you need. See Generate the Change Impact Heatmap.
Set up and generate
- Export the full underlying data to XLS. See Export Change Impact Heatmap data to Excel.

- Pick the report you want from the table below and follow its steps.
Read the report
Each guide below builds one report from the exported data.

How it is calculated
The export isn't a manual spreadsheet exercise. It comes from ChangePlan's impact assessment roll-ups: initiative data, audience mappings and impact level weightings are consolidated automatically. See Impact heatmap 'Weighted Impact Score' logic.
Options
- Answer stakeholder-specific questions by filtering the export before you build a report.
- Combine change impacts with other data, such as capability scores or portfolios, for richer insight.
Export
Build each report in Excel, then copy the tables and charts into your slides or share the workbook.
If nothing shows
If your export is empty or missing data, see the troubleshooting steps in Export Change Impact Heatmap data to Excel.
